HablaCentro is a for-profit social business which develops and programs the technology tools and software to create democratic participation and access to information that is timely, relevant, geographically significant and has impact in people’s lives. Proceeds fund educational projects, digital literacy trainings, field work, collaborations and storytelling initiatives under HablaCentro Informatics NFP. The intellectual property use of the technology tools is donated to the not-for-profit.

HablaCentro Informatics NFP is a 501(c)(3) public charity which develops curriculum and open source tools to help people in Latin America become more digitally literate and civically engaged; conducts trainings in the use of digital tools to create more informed citizens; and connects collaborators to opportunities so they can sustain themselves economically through informed global citizenship and storytelling.
